Jennifer is a director, filmmaker, stage manager, dramaturg, and educator. Born and raised in Austin, she earned her BA from Smith College in Theatre and Education. She has also trained at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Jennifer is a proud member of the Ring of Keys, a national network of queer women and trans theatre artists. She has co-directed, produced, and adapted for the screen an independent feature film adaptation of Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost set in a modern-day boarding school. Recently, she conceived and directed Shakespeare in the Dark: Macbeth with Past is Prologue Productions and directed When We Were Young and Unafraid with The Filigree Theatre. Upcoming projects: Indecent (Austin Playhouse).
Andrea is a producer and stage manager who worked as a co-producer, unit production manager, and second assistant director on the film adaptation of Love’s Labour’s Lost in Austin, TX. She was also a wildlife filmmaking intern at Africa Media Productions in Mossel Bay, South Africa. Andrea graduated with a degree in Film and Media Studies from Smith College, where she was involved in numerous theatre productions, including as a stage manager for Steel Magnolias.
Emily is a sound designer, composer, and musician originally from New Hampshire. Recent sound design credits include This Nostalgic Earth by Emily Duncan Wilson, The Plot by Will Eno directed by Oliver Butler (Yale Repertory Theatre), Hamlet, and YELL: A Documentary of my Time Here by Jeremy O. Harris (Yale School of Drama), All's Well That Ends Well (Past is Prologue Productions), benjisun presents: bodyssey, and Red Speedo (Yale Cabaret). She worked as the assistant sound designer on Sam Max's Twin Size Beds, as a part of The Public Theater's Under the Radar Festival; 600 Highwaymen's production of Manmade Earth at The Invisible Dog; and Mills Entertainment's American Girl Live! national tour. As a woodwind musician, Emily has recently performed in Fun Home (Yale School of Drama); Pajama Game (New London Barn Playhouse); 42nd Street (Palace Theatre, NH); and is featured on Little Busy's album, "So The Grew", and Hannah & Maggie's album, "Oh No". In July 2019, she was featured in American Theatre magazine for her sound design work on Past is Prologue Productions' production of Shakespeare in the Dark: Macbeth. Theresa is a graduate of Smith College, where she studied Costume Design and Anthropology. She currently works in both theater and film in New York City. Theresa recently worked as a Costume Production Assistant on the first season of Hunters (Amazon/Big Indie), on the Aretha Franklin bio-pic Respect (MGM Studios), and the first season of Ray James (Apple TV). Recent NYC designs include: Light Green Moss (Ruthless Nightingale Theater Company), Don Giovanni (Bare Opera), The Women We Carry (Green Room 42), The Magic Flute and Marriage of Figaro (New York Lyric Opera). Regional Design: Sweeney Todd (Pan Opera), Love’s Labour’s Lost (Jennifer Sturley/Jake O’Hare). Georgia is thrilled to be working on the Past is Prologue board! Recently she's been the stage manager for Austin Actor's Studio's The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie and The Diviners, Something for Nothing's Much Ado About Nothing, Austin Shakespeare's Young Shakespeare Program's Hamlet, As You Like It, and Twelfth Night, as well as on stage in Austin Shakespeare's The Crucible, and the Shakespeare at Winedale classes of 2013 and 2015.
Allison Paranka holds a B.A. in Comparative Literature and Translation from Smith College and an MFA at the Academy for Classical Acting at George Washington University. Trained at Shakespeare and Company in Lenox, Massachusetts, she has held early modern theater as a primary artistic and academic focus for the past 10 years. Recent projects include Romeo and Juliet at Voices Found Repertory, When We Were Young and Unafraid at Filigree Theater, and UT Austin's Shakespeare at Winedale classes of 2019 and 2020.
